Reopening Your Business Safely…

INStreatham have sent out helpful tips and guidelines to help small businesses in Streatham and Lambeth, reopen their business safely, after the last lockdown.

Reopening Safely
We continue to deliver a host of practical, visible support measures such as queue management and have delivered a number of spray painted ‘Keep your distance’/'Wait here'/'Wash your hands' social distance markers. Below is a suite of offers that will ensure you feel confident about taking the next steps to reopen your business.

Pavement License
Apply for a Pavement License which allows you to have tables and chairs outside your establishment for your customers, providing you with extra socially distanced seating options. The license cost is capped at £100 until September 2021. Lambeth Council will be fast tracking these applications and you should receive it within 7 working days. The Pavement Licence does not replace the existing Tables and Chairs Licence. Apply here.

Streatham Works
If you need help recruiting new staff, please contact Hannah through our new recruitment service as part of the South Lambeth Business Improvement Districts scheme. All levy payers are entitled to this free service including, sourcing and short-listing candidates, interviews and post-placement support.

Workplace testing
You are now able to register for free rapid lateral flow coronavirus tests for your employees, twice per week. Before you start, you will need:

  • the name of your company

  • your company registration number

  • an email address

You must register by 11:59pm 12 April 2021. Visit https://www.gov.uk/get-workplace-coronavirus-tests and register your business today!

Keeping the HIgh Road clean
To support the safe use of the High Road, we will be installing hand sanitizer towers in key locations to support the safety of consumers. We've also started our jet-washing programme - the specialist cleansing team will target high contact points across Streatham to ensure areas are cleaned, to support and increase consumer confidence.
